Artist, graphic designer, and entrepreneur, Julia Bancilhon founded Made of Matter in London in 2021 with the idea of reinventing wallpaper by turning it into a blank canvas for artistic expression. Driven by a deep desire to merge art and design, her two passions, she creates a unique connection between these complementary worlds.

After returning to Paris, she expanded her collaborations with clients, primarily in the restaurant and hospitality sectors, in France, the U.K., and the U.S. Building on this experience, the studio provides a full range of services designed to elevate visual identity and transform spaces with boldness and originality.
